Sharing a Flower Tut..........

While blog surfing today I stumbled across a flower tut & an amazingly talented flower maker........would that make her a florist or a flower designer.........hhhhhmmmmm........not sure what to call her but her flowers are amazing.

Button.........Button.........Button

This is my Mingle card that I made for my Magnolia-licious Yahoo group for September. The only requirement was to have a button on my project so I added these sweet little heart buttons. I'm getting it out a wee bit late due to our recent trip to New York & the horrible head cold I brought home with me. OY!

I'm entering this card in the Magnolia Down Under challenge #23 to use one or more Buttons along with a Magnolia image. I just love these sweet little girls named Tilda. She was colored with my Copic markers. I used Tilda holding a single flower found at Diana's shop here.

I just love using buttons on my cards. I believe the buttons are from the Jesse James collection found at Michael's.

Introducing Bella.........

Meet the newest addition to our family! She's the cutest little Rottie puppy that my granddaughter named "Bella". She's a "love" & only 3 months old with the longest legs. We've all fallen in love with her.

Our family dog is such an important member of our family. Chloe left a gigantic hole in our hearts that could only be filled by another furbaby to love.

Our beloved Golden is gone now............

We had to put our 5 yr old Golden Retriever "Chloe" to sleep this morning. She lost her battle with cancer. The doctor gave her 3 to 6 months to live back in May........she lasted 4 more months.

Such a sad day for our family. She was a beloved friend & companion to all of us. We will miss her so much........................

Another sweet Tilda card to share

I made this for another dear friend who's birthday is next week. I'm also entering 2 more challenges. YAY

The first challenge is Friday Sketchers #68. This is the sketch I followed (I turned it sideways).....


The second challenge is Pink Elephant #31.....a color challenge.....Red, Yellow, Black & White. There's just a splash of yellow in the flowers & brads.

I used the same Copics as the other Tilda holding balloons card. I just reversed the colors on her dress & the balloons.

Sweet Tilda holding balloons

I made this birthday card for a dear friend who's going through a rough patch right now so I thought it would perk her up a bit. She's very special to me.

I used Magnolia's Tilda holding balloons as my focal image. This stamp can be found at Diana's shoppe "Magnolia-licious" HERE. I have fallen in love with these precious little girls.

I am also using this card to enter 2 challenges. The first one is at the Just Magnolia Challenge Blog. We were to follow this darling sketch made by Mina.

The second challenge is at Charisma Cardz Challenge Blog using Challenge #35 Swirls, Curlz & hearts (I hope my one heart still qualifies me).

1st Sketch & Mingle Card

I am a new member of the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group (my dear friend, Charlene, led the way.....thanks, Sis). This group is oozing with talent & so much inspiration. As part of that group I joined in the August Mingle. You make one card for one person during the month of August. Easy Peasy! So this is the card I made using my very first Tilda stamp "Tilda holding a single flower". She is available from Magnolia-licious. Diana has great customer service & is a delight.


Anywho.......on Magnolia-licious Highlites the amazingly talented Becca designed this sketch. So I decided to join in the fun there too for my very first time.



By the way.........another "first" for me was paper piecing Tilda's dress.

Wow.....over 6,000 visitors!

OMGosh! I just realized that I have had over 6,000 visitors to my blog. Wow......that's amazing! When I started this blog back in December I had no clue what to do. But with the help of many hugsisters I took the plunge & have never regretted it.

The only regret I do have is that I don't post as much as I would like & don't craft as much either. I live in a house with 2 granddaughters (13 & 19), one daughter (41), one son (25), son's friend (24), my hubby & Golden Retriever. It's a full full house so there's a TON of distractions! But I'm not complaining...........I'm blessed!!!

'Tilda is a Star' Chipboard Book

I was recently part of a Christmas in July gift exchange on a small board I'm very blessed to be a part of. Now that we have opened all of our prezzies I can share what I made for my swap partner who is a very dear friend & hugsister........Charlene at Scrappygma's Place. I made her this Tilda Star Chipboard Book (she had so generously given me these Tilda images in another swap........aren't I sneaky......LOL). I colored Tilda with my Copic markers.

This was a lot of fun to make even though it was my very first attempt at covering chipboard & making a flip book........so what do you think?

It's been so busy around here that I haven't told you that I actually won something!
