Ooh la la

Ooh la la.....Paris anyone?  LOL This is my DT card for the next Clear It Out challenge which starts tomorrow.  We would love to see anything having to do with the "gift of Christmas"......however you interpret that statement.  It doesn't have to be a Christmas card.  Just something to do with a special gift or presents like I have on my card.  Use your imagination & be creative.  Now as for my card...........I'm having a PINK Christmas in Paris because my recipient is oh so "fabulous" and so very loved.  So my special gift is hidden inside the cute bag & those boxes are full of FABulous things I found while shopping in some cute Paris boutiques underneath the Eiffel Tower.  LOL  I can dream, can't I?  LOL  I even thought of hanging ornaments from the Eiffel Tower but resisted the temptation.  LOL  May have been a bit too much.........ya think?  :)

My birthday was on Saturday & I spent the day sick as a dog.  Yuck!  Not my favorite way to spend my birthday.  But my oldest granddaughter brought a movie & cake over today & we watched "Snow White & the Huntsman".  I really enjoyed it!  Even hubby watched some of it with us ('course we had to use the duct tape cuz he would not stop talking.....lol).  I have the sweetest family in the world.  I am so very blessed!

You're such a Pansy

Did that get your attention?  hahaha  I couldn't resist since this card has pansies all over it.  This is my second card for the Clear It Out challenge blog.  We are in the midst of our current challenge where we want to see what inspires you in your creation.  This can be anything or anyone who inspires you.  Just tell us what or who it is.  The "stash" item we would like to see is "something glittery".  Easy Peasy....right. 

My card features the adorable 'Ava Flower Patch'.  You can find her here at Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  Ava is one of my very favorite Bugaboo characters.  Must be her long hair.  I've had long hair as 'long' as I can remember.  (pun intended......LOL)

Here is my inspiration picture.  I know you were probably expecting a picture of pansies but I just couldn't resist these scrumptious cupcakes.

I feel badly that I haven't been posting much this year.  It's been a tough year for us so my craft mojo has pretty much left the building.  I'm hoping to get back into it soon though.  My daughter is recooping nicely & very quickly from her spinal fusion a month ago but is having a neck fusion in a couple of weeks.  Poor baby girl.  She's really been thru a lot.  Then my hubby had some important things going on that culminated this week.  Not to mention my health issues going up & down........I feel like I'm riding a roller coaster some days.  LOL.........waah waah.......I wanna get off..........LOL  Prayers would sure be appreciated.  I don't like to bring anyone down when they visit me here so I try to keep everything positive but sometimes you just have to be "real".  I appreciate each one of you who visits my little blog & I love reading your sweet comments.  I'll probably be posting a card this week that I'm making for a dear friend who just lost her husband.  They were married 57 years.  So very sad.  I can't even imagine losing my hubby.

Sweet Little Lamb

This sweet little lamb is another Crissy Armstrong creation. I used this little cutie "Spring Lamb" for my DT card for Sundays with Crissy. It's available as a digital image from Whimsy Stamps. You still have time to join in our "Birthday" themed challenge for the month of February. You even get one extra day. Don'tcha just love leap year. LOL

I paper pieced this darling with NitWit digi papers (Tippy toes & Me-Wow) & distressed the pieces with Distress Ink. I then colored the grass & flowers with my Copic markers (R81, R83, R85, G21, G40, Y21, YR20, C5, C7, W3). After cutting out the image with my Lacey Circles Nestie die I carefully sponged the sky & grass with more Distress Ink. (I left the paper inside the Nestie before sponging the background & later wiped the die off with a baby wipe.)  The pink gingham DP is from Bev Rochester's free gingham papers found on her blog All the Things I Love.  Thanks a bunch, Bev!  The pretty green DP's are from my huge paper stash.

 The sentiment was computer generated using the font "Brisk". It was cut out with my Lattice Rectangle Nestie.  When I showed the card to my hubby he asked me who "Eve" was.  LOL  Thank God when I asked my daughter to read it to me she said "ewe".  LOL So I hope you can read that it's actually to "Ewe".......not "Eve".   (You know........a 'ewe' is a female sheep.)

I used my Stardust Stickles to bling it all up.  I cut a strip of pink netting which already had a ton of glitter on it from my LSS (local stamp store) (I had glitter everywhere....lol).  Buttons, ribbon & flowers are all from my stash.

Just skating by..........

It's my turn to post on the Sundays with Crissy challenge blog. We're nearing the end of our 24th challenge with everyone's FAVorite........"Anything Goes". You can check out all of the deets on the Sundays with Crissy blog.

I've used this adorable little skating snowman created by the talented Crissy Armstrong called "Snowman Skating". You can find him at Whimsy Stamps along with lots of other cute images by Crissy. Since he's a digital image I was able to shrink him down a bit so I could add him to the bottom corner of the little tag. I just love the versatility of digital stamping.

So whatcha think? Isn't he a cutie patootie! Of course I had to add lots of bling, bling to my card with snowflakes & lots of glitter. I've used my trustie Nesties, some pretty Nit Wit DP & ribbon from my stash. The sentiment was computer generated by me using PC Drop (a pcCrafter font).

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. My hubby surprised me with a Tim Holtz Vagabond die cutting machine. Yippee Skippee! Could you hear me screaming? LOL I'm so excited! Now I can finally use the larger dies. YAY hubby!!!

CUC/DT/The Pixie Cottage ~~Is it Thanksgiving?

No.......you don't have to check your calendar to see if it's Thanksgiving & I don't think I've flipped my lid.........yet. LOL Although with the cold & rainy weather we've been having here in southern California in May I'm beginning to wonder if it isn't fall or winter. But I guess every day should be Thanksgiving cuz we're so blessed. Anywho.....it's our halfway point for our Craft Us Crazy challenge blog's 8th challenge. We want to see your "Favorite Embellishment and/or Something New". My FAVorite embellie is flowers and my something new is my DP from Bearly Mine Designs. Wowie..........we've seen so many amazing creations in our challenges. I can't believe that we're already up to almost 300 followers.
Our Sponsor for this half of the challenge is The Pixie Cottage. They gave me this darling image to play with. Isn't that little mouse soooo cute with his full tummy. The image is called "Pumpkin & Pie". I tried to give it a Springtime feel........with the pretty DP & flowers.

I powdered the pie with some Doodlebug sugar coating glitter (cuz I love my 'real' pie with lots of sugary goodness) & I used my 'regular' fine glitter on the pumpkin & background DP. I recently purchased that gorgeous DP from Bearly Mine Designs called 'Spring Blossoms'. The flowers in the DP are made by Trina Clark so I also purchased her 'New Beginnings' digital overlay that compliments the Bearly Mine set. Isn't it pretty! I think I'll be using this set a lot.

Two CUC DT Stamp Fairy cards

This is the adorable Stamp Fairy Lenny Bear with flowers that they so generously gave me to play with. Doesn't he look so cute & huggable. I had so much fun with this card. It's full of girlie pinks & greens (my FAVorite color combo) & flowers & swirls. I tried to tone down the glitter (which is hard for me) since I had so much foo foo going on. LOL I colored him with my Copic markers.

I used my Nesties and my Magnolia Doohickey die cuts Swirl & Leaf and Romantic Lace. Recollections pink flowers are from Michael's (they had so many other pretty colors too....yellows, reds, blues, oranges, neutrals, etc.). My DP came from K&Company "Susan Winget's Spring Blossom" which can be found at JoAnn's Crafts. The little butterfly was cut using my Martha Stewart "monarch butterfly" punch.

This card is going to my daughter-in-law for her birthday. We share the same day (although she's much much younger.....LOL). And since I'm a twin I also share it with my twin brother. LOL

This is a birthday card to celebrate our Color Me Creative first birthday. Yay! Our challenge was to make a primary color card with our Copic markers & I thought Patsy would look so cute in a yellow raincoat. Sweet Baby Girl card

Isn't this just the sweetest baby girl image. I love her cute little pursed lips. She's a digi image from Mo Manning called BabyGirl. Mo also has a cute little cooking girl available for $1. All proceeds will go to help Japan. You can see all of the details on her blog in the March 15th post.

I made this card for the Color Me Creative Copic challenge group lead by the uber talented Suzanne Dean. If you have Copic markers & want to learn how to use them.......then sign up for a class. Suzanne is an amazing & patient teacher. This is also an amazing group of caring individuals. You will make friendships for a lifetime. Anywho.......For the challenge we were asked to use these colors......pink, green & white or cream.......perfect colors for a baby card. Also my absolute FAVorite color combo. I of course colored this little darling with my Copic markers.

You can find this sweet, sweet "Love at first Sight" Word Art at Create with TLC. It's part of the "Birth Day" set. Paulette has a wide range of sentiments & Word Art for every occasion imaginable. The DP (decorative paper) is from NitWits. It's from Mary's beautiful "Affection" collection. I find that I use these digi background papers for just about every card I make now. Her selection is awesome & her artwork is AMAZING & it prints out beautifully on my inexpensive Georgia Pacific cardstock from Walmart. Plus storage is no problem. LOL

Magnolia-licious Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

For my Christmas card I used my cute little Magnolia 'Longing Tilda' stamp. I just love her. She is soooo versatile. I also inked up my Magnolia 'Tin Boxes' stamp. You can cut these tins apart (after stamping of course) & use them in so many different ways. These were colored with my Copics. I also used my Magnolia Doohickey diecuts: 'Swirl' (it comes with a 'leaf' as well), Vintage Tag and Romantic Lace Border. You can find all of these wonderful Magnolia products at Diana's Magnolia-licious store. The diecuts cut like 'buttah'.....such a dream to use. Just look at all the swirlies I used on this card.

This card reminded me of those of you who have been struggling through these cold & snowy winter months so I thought I'd use Create with TLC's cute saying "Happy Freezin Season" (now don't throw any frozen ice at me......only soft snowballs.....LOL). Craft Us Crazy Challenge starts today & my DT card...

The sentiment on my card is from Create with TLC's cute little set "Love you like a duck loves water". Isn't that just the perfect little saying for this card. Paulette has a lot of cute Valentine images & sentiments for your Valentine cards.
