Pretty little Princess Tilda

I just fell in love with this pretty little stamp called Princess Tilda from Magnolia's Fairytale Collection. She looks like such a pretty, pretty Princess.......dontcha think. Of course she just "had" to be dressed in girly pink. I got her sweetness at Diana's shoppe.....I don't see her in stock right now but you can let Diana know that you're interested in her.

This card was made for a card kit swap at SCS and also to be entered in 2 challenges.........the Simon Says Challenge: to follow this Sketch......

and the #112 Challenge at Cute Card Thursday to make a card for 'Someone Special'. My 'Someone Special' is my 14 yr old granddaughter. She was playing in her soccer semi finals last night & got injured. This sweet little Tilda reminded me of her (she loved her).

I used Copics (E00, E000, E000, R20, E30, E31, E41, W00, W0, W1, RV10, RV11, RV000, Y11 & E30) to color the little darling, Stickles 'Diamond' for the bling & used DP from DCWV's "Once Upon a Time" mat stack. The flowers & embellies were in my stash. Tim Holtz' Distress Ink 'vintage photo' was applied to the white card base. I apologize for the quick coloring job.....I don't think it's as good as it could have been. I've had a lot going on in my life lately & just didn't have the time to do a better job. But I do have to say that it looks much better & prettier IRL (in real life). Plus I'm currently enrolled in Suzanne Dean's Copics class & I know I have a lot to learn from her about coloring with Copics.

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share with you.

Copic Ciao Number TUT

This is my very first blog TUTorial so please be gentle………………

Let me start off by saying that I ♥love♥love♥love♥ my Copic markers!!! I have a total of 84 of these beauties both Ciao & Sketch but since the Ciao's are the least expensive I have more of them. The only thing I don’t like about the Copic Ciao markers is that they don’t have the color number on the end of the marker barrel as they have on the Copic Sketch markers therefore I decided to create my own. And this is how I did it.
(***scroll down to the bottom of this post to see a picture of the barrel ends of the Sketch & Ciao markers...........the picture is clickable to get a closer view.)

Supplies needed:
Sticker paper or Address Labels
Computer and Printer
1/4" Hole Punch (this is the standard size round hole punch)
Corsage Pin

♥♥♥First you will print the Ciao color numbers you need onto the labels or sticker paper……leaving enough space around each number to fit inside your hole punch. I used the font Calibri font size 8 for most of the color numbers. I used 7.5 for the larger numbers like RV000 so they would fit inside the punched circle.

♥♥♥Then hole punch the number…….centering the number in the hole (turn the punch over so you can see what you’re doing). Then hold the little circle you’ve just punched out in your fingertips (you may need to use the corsage pin to gently push the circle out of the punch) & using the tip of the corsage pin….gently fold back the edge of the sticker & slip the pin tip in between the layers. The backing will come right off. The sticky number circle will stick to the pin & you can ease it onto the end of the marker. Use your finger or fingernail to tap it in place. And voila! There ya go!!! Easy peasy!!!

I suppose you could use a medium to cover the number once it’s attached to the marker………like a protective covering but I didn’t think it was necessary since my markers are guarded very carefully. LOL

I store my Copics in this pretty "luggage" style box from Michael’s......(love these lovely containers for storing my crafts). Inside I have 2 clear storage boxes I purchased at Joann’s crafts. They have built-in dividers to store the Copic color families perfectly. When I tip the box I can see all of my numbers now. No problems in searching for a certain Copic Ciao marker. ( I chose to put the numbers on BOTH ends of my Ciao markers so I could see them on either side of the clear boxes……….but you could just do one marker end.) This box also holds my ink refills.

On a side note: I keep my skin & hair color Copics that I use the most in this separate little plastic photo box (also from Michael’s). (I don't use the blue markers for hair or skin........LOL......that's just to show the difference between the Sketch & Ciao markers.........and to show you the little round circle I made.) I have more of these little boxes so when I'm working on a project (like coloring my cute little Tildas) I have all the markers I'm using at my fingertips. It also helps me to remember which colors I used in my project before I return them to their other little "home".

♥I sure hope this TUT helps you. If you have any questions or don’t understand something, please email me.♥

I finally did it!

I turned my blog into the super popular......most amazing........3 COLUMN BLOG! WOOHOO! Thanks to the uber talented Nora (Miss Handmade & Heavenly herself) for pointing me in the right direction (thanks a bunch, Sis). This wonderful blog made it super simple for even a novice like me to do it. The gal at "Three Column Blogger" made it soooo easy to follow her amazing directions. I have just one tip........print out your current HTML & make the changes there first.......then do it for "realsies". Made it a lot easier for my pea brain to follow.

Anywho......my other wonderful Sis Charlene aka Scrappygma paved the way for me too with her cute 3 column blog..........btw......pop on over there to see her darling card for the Magnolia Christmas card blog hop going on this week.

Thanks a bunch for listening & I promise to share something handmade soon.

Pretty in Pink card

I finally finished my entry for the Pretty in Pink project at Magnolia-licious Highlites. YAY I don't know why in the world it takes me soooooo long to make one card........but it does. LOL It's been so long since I posted a card that I almost forgot how to. LOL

Anywho......you can find this precious "Baking Tilda" (I just love this little girl) at Diana's wonderful shop.

Thanks for looking & let me know what you think. I'm sorry the pic isn't the greatest. I got a new computer (YAY..........actually hubby's old computer redone) and Windows 7 (a totally different "animal" from Windows XP) so I'm learning some new little tricks (which takes me forever & a day too). If I had given myself more time (I'm such a procrastinator) I think I could have taken a better picture for you. (I was fighting the wind & the dog while taking the pic.) LOL I'll try better next time.........

Card recipe:
Copics used: E0000, E000, E00, E30, E31, E41, R20, W00, W0, W1, W3, RV10, RV11, RV13
White highlights: Sakura Gelly Roll med white pen
DP: TAC, Basic Grey “Porcelain”
Prima Flowers
Heart punch & outlined label: MS fine glitter “tourmaline”
Flower center brad: Creative Imaginations “Lovebird Gems”
Bella's Baubles "String of Pearls" (corner accents)
Spellbinders Nestabilities: Curved Rectangles and Labels Four

A reluctant reindeer with teeth

This is Bella........our 6 month old Rottweiler. My granddaughter was trying to get her to pose with her reindeer antlers. You can see she wasn't too happy about being one of Santa's little helpers. LOL And see what big teeth she has........you'll see why I'm mentioning her teeth in a moment.......keep reading.........LOL.........

I just have to share what just happened................

I was taking a little break from Christmas cardmaking to have a bowl of chicken noodle soup & toast to calm my sore tummy (another story). After a little bit I realized it was just waaaaaay tooooooo quiet! Where is Bella??? I went to our bedroom door (which is normally closed when I'm not in it) & what do I see???????? My CARDSTOCK for my Christmas cards with doggie teeth marks all over it..........probably about 30 sheets destroyed. She tried to cut the corners off the paper herself........cute little bite mark corners! LOL Now why didn't she just ask to use my corner rounder? LOL

Now I know it's my fault..........I should have closed the door..........I should have put the cardstock away..........I should have.........I should have...........you get the idea!

But what was sooooooo funny & ironic was that this happened while I was watching a recorded show "It's Me or the Dog"...........a British dog obedience show about how to keep your dog from tearing up your house!!!!!! LOL I just had to laugh!!!

How funny is that!!!

Okay..........I'm back to cardmaking..........

Pixie Cottage challenge

Hi Everyone! I hope that you are all ready for Christmas! I still have to wrap & bag prezzies but everything is hiding in my closet. Shhhhh! Don't tell the kids! LOL

I'm entering a challenge at Pixie Cottage using this sketch..........

I don't know why but this one was a challenge for me.........maybe that's why they call it a "challenge"..........DUH..........LOL. I just wasn't sure how that dark DP was working with the rest (even though it's part of the Heidi Grace DP collection listed on the post below). But after I added the snowflakes & glitter I decided that it was okay. I also think I was supposed to use ribbon where the dotted dark strip is but my ribbon is buried in my closet under all of those aforementioned prezzies. LOL So what do you think? Be honest! (but not brutally honest........you might hurt my little feelings.....LOL)

The card details are similar to those listed in the post below. Although I used Copic R22 on the heart nestled in the basket instead of R20 (I prefer the R20). And the Spellbinders Nestabilities is "Labels One" (don't you just love those Nesties!!!!).

This darling stamp................."Snowflurry Tilda" can be found at Diana's shoppe here. She offers great customer service & low shipping.

I pray that all is well with you & yours & you're enjoying this Christmas season when we take the time to celebrate our dear Savior's birth.

Thanks for looking!

First Challenge is at Sketch Saturday. Simon Says Stamp is offering a fabulous $25 prize! I followed this sketch........(I flipped it on its side)

Second Challenge is at Stamp Something. They wanted a Winter Wonderland entry......I think this qualifies with all the snowflakes & snowy glitter I used. LOL The sponsor is In Style Stamps who are offering 4 digi images.

hird Challenge is at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge using a Snow theme. I think snowflakes count. LOL

Fourth Challenge is at Our Creative Corner again wanting something Christmasy. The prize will be a very generous gift of $25 from Totally Stampilicious.

And finally......the Sixth Challenge is at Creative Card Crew for a wonderful Simon Says Stamp prize of $20!

Such wonderful prizes. Hope, hope, hope I win! Keeping all fingers, toes & eyes crossed. LOL Wish me luck!

Tilda for my Baby Girl

This is the card I made for my daughter's birthday yesterday (you can see my daughter's pretty face on the post right below this one). She loved seeing her name on the card. LOL And since pink is her favorite color.......Tilda just had to be pink too.

I used a Magnolia Tilda stamp (of course) called "Cross Stitch Tilda". This is the first time I've used her. She can be found at Diana's store HERE. She's colored with those marvelous Copic markers and I have to admit............I forgot AGAIN to add highlights to her. One of these days I'll remember! LOL (Maybe I can snag the card away from her & do it. LOL Naw...........I'd probably mess it up! LOL)

Thanks for taking a looksie. I sure appreciate your comments!
